Omicron Rho Omega Chapter 36th Anniversary

Pink Goes Red

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is partnered with the American Heart Association in the fight against heart disease in all women.  Pink Goes Red for Heart Health Day, is one of our 6 community impact days  On this day, Alpha Kappa Alpha women take off signature pink  and wear red for the day. This is done to raise awareness of heart disease and promote life changes that will increase the longevity and quality of the lives of women around  the globe. Omicron Rho Omega chapter is one of the many Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. chapters that participate in bringing awareness to the devastating effects of heart disease in communities around this country.

Annual Day Party

“Elegance is a glowing inner peace. Grace is an ability to give as well as to receive and be thankful. Mystery is a hidden laugh always ready to surface! Glamour only radiates if there is a sublime courage & bravery within: glamour is like the moon; it only shines because the sun is there.”

― C. Joy Bell C.

This all equates to “Southern Sophistication” and on October 15, 2016, Omicron Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. hosted its very first Day Party and all the proceeds went to support community initiatives, student scholarships, the purchase and issuance of school supplies, and seasonal wraps.

In 2019, we did it again and hosted our 3rd “Southern Sophistication Day Party” and with its success we decided to make this a yearly event and continue to support our community, giving back through our local initiatives and being of “Service to ALL Mankind.”

Educate and Cultivate

Omicron Rho Omega Chapter is honored to work with girls from ages six to fourteen years old to help educate, expose, and cultivate through positive activities. It is our hope that this wonderful experience will be an unforgettable one and will leave an indelible impression in the minds of these young ladies. We embark upon this activity in alternate years which culminates in a grand production that displays the talents of each contestant.  Much joy comes when the chapter sees the faces of the contestants and their parents as they are so proud of the accomplishments of these young ladies.
